Minutes of the last club meeting:

CALL TO ORDER:
Meeting was called to order at 7:28 PM by Vice-President Scott Dias. Board Members present were Vice-President - Scott Dias, Secretary - Becky Anderson and Treasurer/Editor - Manny Dias. Total of 20 members in attendance and 2 guests.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Not reported at meeting. Final Cash Balance 6/12/08 $x,xxx.xx.

COMMUNICATIONS: Vice-President, Scott Dias briefly discussed our own YCC celebrities, “The Racing Rayle Team” that just happened to place 3rd in the rookie class of the Silver State Classic Open Road Challenge. This “team” achieved an average speed of 109.9613 mph. Their next challenge will be the Bonneville 100 on Highway 93A out of Wendover, Nevada on June 21st.We all wish them well and agreed to donate $100.00 to their gas fund.

June 27th, 2008 is the 8th Annual “Drive Your Vette to Work Day”, sponsored by Mid America Motorworks. Vette owners are encouraged to send digital pictures of their car at work to
clubs@mamotorworks.com.

ACTIVITIES, Past: Springtime Reunion Car Show by the Greater Chamber of Commerce was on Saturday, May 10th, at Castle Air Museum.

ACTIVITIES, Future: The 2nd Annual “Bass Lake Moonlight Vette Run” is Saturday, June 14th. Don’t miss this great evening with dinner at Ducey’s on The Lake and a spectacular ride home with the full moon.

Ric Rocco has discussed with the Valve Burners Car Club to co-sponsor a Car Show on June 14th at the 9-Iron Practice Center located on Santa Fe Drive on the grass area. No entry fee and
no awards. Just a fun morning with another club.

Labor Day weekend will be the Color The Skies Hot Air Balloon Festival and car show in Ripon. Color The Skies primary purpose is to raise awareness and financial support for Children’s Hospital Central California. Event will be held at the Ripon Sports Complex on Jack Tone Road.

Karen Collings discussed having a Hearst Castle run in July. She will check on hotels and get back to us.

The Valve Burners has an informal meet every 1st Friday of each month at the Sonic Burger in Atwater. We went last month and there were approximately 50-60 cars. There is also an
informal meet on each last Friday of each month at the Lowe’s Parking lot in Merced. Come on out and play.

Bill Geist is checking into a run to Bubba Gump’s in Monterey.

NEW BUSINESS: We will temporarily suspend the raffle for the “special” parking spot at Cool Hand’s until such time as the corporate office gives permission to block off the spot. Doug & LaVerne will be the first to occupy.
